Le Milieu King B 500g<\/span>\u00a0CONDALAB<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Pseudomonas F Agar) suit la formule d\u00e9crite par King et al. pour la d\u00e9tection et la diff\u00e9renciation de\u00a0<\/span>Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/span><\/em><\/a>\u00a0parmi les autres pseudomonas, sur la base de la production de pyocyanine<\/a>. La norme\u00a0<\/span>ISO 16266<\/span> recommande ce milieu pour la confirmation des colonies brun-rouge observ\u00e9es sur g\u00e9lose CN Pseudomonas et ayant montr\u00e9 une oxydase positive. Cette m\u00e9thode s’applique aux eaux en bouteille, aux eaux de piscine et aux eaux destin\u00e9es \u00e0 la consommation humaine, c’est-\u00e0-dire les eaux pr\u00e9sentant une flore interf\u00e9rente faible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/span><\/em>\u00a0vit librement dans le sol et l’eau et constitue aujourd’hui un pathog\u00e8ne opportuniste \u00e9mergent d’importance clinique majeure. De nombreuses \u00e9tudes \u00e9pid\u00e9miologiques suivent sa pr\u00e9sence comme pathog\u00e8ne nosocomial et constatent une r\u00e9sistance croissante aux antibiotiques dans les isolats cliniques. Le m\u00e9lange de peptones fournit l’azote, les vitamines, les min\u00e9raux et les acides amin\u00e9s essentiels \u00e0 la croissance tout en favorisant la production de pyocyanine. Le phosphate dipotassique apporte une source de phosphore et le sulfate de magn\u00e9sium fournit les cations n\u00e9cessaires pour activer la production de pyocyanine. Le glyc\u00e9rol constitue la source de carbone et l’agar bact\u00e9riologique solidifie le milieu. <\/span><\/p>\n
